*Jigsaw voice* "Hello Hater, I want to play a game ..." - Review: Messiahbolical

"For years you have hated others, working your hardest to put others down, when what you hate is what u see in the mirror.

U have let your hatred take over your life. Tonight we will test that hate, in front of you is Messiahbolical.
For years u have hated this individual knowing he is more talented than yourself.

Behind you is your own useless career that u have refused to let go of.
Will you be able to put your hate aside n let go of your lack of talent
and support a true artist? Or will u suffer the consequences of your own hate?
YOU decide.......hahahahaahahahaha."

The above was taken from the promo for Messiabolical's Facebook and iLike pages. I maybe a tad biased, but I absoloutely love and adore Messiah and his music. He was here a LONG time before the wave of UK artists coming though, before UK Hip Hop was cool again, and was never part of trends or fads. He sets standards and is the benchmark for others to follow.

There is a LOT of his stuff on the iLike page (links to some of the tracks below) and he's got loads of videos on his YouTube page, with another video coming very soon. If you aren't already part of the revolution, you need to join in now or get left behind, Billy no Taste. Haha.

Mummy, please make the bad man go away ....

It's almost Halloween.

I don't celebrate, but that celebration is all about the dark forces and all things bad, right? Well it's ironic that days before Halloween comes around again and we have to chase bad breed pickney from around your door (shout out to my East London crew) I'm talking about a really dark and negative forces.

Joking aside, I'm talking about the furore surrounding the BNP leader Nick Griffin appearing on Question Time.

The BBC in my eyes have been baiting all this press and in a boost to bump up their television ratings took a break away from their usual stance of announcing the guests for the show on the day to letting the public know two weeks before the show.

They have caused this in order to then go ahead and release stupid stories to the press to again boost ratings. Sickening. This is usually the stance of Channel 4, our television station that loves to surround themselves with controversy.

I have witnessed and participated in many debates over whether or not Nick Griffin should be allowed to appear on the show and at every single turn I have said yes. Many of you disagree, and I really don't understand or agree with you especially after hearing your reasons why.

Racism in the UK is not going to disappear. Ever. This is FACT. There maybe a Black president in the US, but the racism there is as rife as it was 10/20 years ago. Here in the UK this will not happen for a very long time. This country has a lot more racism in my eyes, but it is hidden. Classic example, the production of the BNP members list pointed out the doctors, teachers, lawyers and every day working  class person that lived on your block, street, neighbourhood. People that walk past you every day and smile in your face.

This isn't progress, this is due to political correctness meaning people are more scared to air their view for fear of being shunned. This has forced individuals to be more covert in regards to their views. In essence going backwards to when my parents first came to this country.

Putting your head in the sand doesn't make the bad man go away, metaphorically putting him and his friends in a box under your bed like kids do with the boogie man is not the solution. In order to know if these people are working around you or your children the freedom of speech which we all bang on about is the way forward. Putting conditions on that right then turns it into censorship.

As much as blatant racism is not nice (I had a horrible incident happen to me yesterday at work to prove it isn't nice) it is much worse to go ahead and sweep it under a rug or put a nice bow tie on it.

Please can we get a grip on out anger that these people are gaining more power by being more articulate in our actions. He and his party have changed their tactics from the ranting, outright racist into a more appealing and articulate individual. We need to ensure that there isn't any ammunition for these people to prove themselves right.

I am about to sit down and watch the man's appearance on the show and see what all the fuss is about.

One more thing before I go, how many of you actually voted in the last election ....?

Review: Magic Mouse

I am a self confessed Apple addict since I moved over to a Macbook around three years ago, and having an iPod and upgrading all the time since I got the first gen Nano. And then my move from a hardcore Berry Babe to iPhone Primadonna. Yes, I am a Mac.

After a tip-off from Kimptoc (due to me being behind on Apple stuff and keynotes) I took myself onto the site and watched the video.

LOVE it! If they enable pinching for zooming, I will definitely find myself in Regent Street...

How safe are we and the children in our lives online?

I came across this video on my friend Stoosh's page regarding Internet safety for the children in our lives as well as us. I have seen too many people put ALL their information on their Facebook pages, and I go a little cold sometimes.

Every week there is at least one piece in a paper about Facebook or Twitter.

Please make sure you, your children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren or any children your're related to/love are protected by NOT putting their information online and you yourself should do the same.

I credit Chris Aguilar who posted this video originally and thank him for reminding us ALL to be careful, and not get complacent. Sounds stupid as much of us have been online since the dawn of the dinosaurs, but you'd be amazed.

AngelicTip: Ringtones on the iPhone using iTunes

So after being asked a fair few times about my ringtones on my iPhone at work and by friends I thought I'd post this and then I can then forward it when asked.

It isn't news, I got my information from a forum when I got my phone in June and I'm sure it has been circulating on the net since the inception of the iPhone so I won't pretend to be the Goddess of the iPhone ringtones lol.

This works if you haven't purchased the track from iTunes as the "Create Ringtone" feature on iTunes only allows purchased tracks to be edited. Boo!

Enjoy!  x

Before you start you should note down the start and finish time of the track which you want to play. You will only be able to have 30 seconds so pick the best bit!

  1. Right click on the song you are going to make into a ringer and select “Get Info.”
  2. Go to the options tab and go down to the “Start Time” and “Stop Time” check boxes. Check both boxes and input the time you want your ringer to start/stop. The ringer has to be 30 seconds or less. Click OK when you’re done.
  3. Right click on your newly “clipped” song and select “Convert Selection to AAC.”
  4. After the song is done, locate your song, and drag it to your desktop. After the song is on your desktop go back to iTunes and delete the clipped version from the iTunes library (It won’t delete it from your desktop, it will only remove it from iTunes)
  5. Go back the song on your desktop and change the extension from .m4a to .m4r
  6. After the extension is changed simply add it to your iTunes library by dragging it the ringtones section. Sync your phone with iTunes and you’re done!

Become a virgin ... Again

Newly married women in Egypt have found a way to fool their husbands into thinking they're still virgins.

The kit consists of a pouch inserted before 'her first time' and excretes a blood like substance when broken.

Sex before marriage is a no no in Egypt and the Middle East so this is a way to keep their reputations intact if the wives have had indiscretions previous to marriage.

The Artificial Virginity Hymen (£19) is sold by Gigimo, a Chinese company.

Leona Lewis assault - photo

I'd be vex if i was snapped like this ... *smh*

I'm not Leona's biggest fan her vocal talent is unquestionable, but I do find her a little dull.

That being said I don't condone her attack where a man now being questioned over the matter - smacked her in the face while at her book signing in Waterstones in Picadillly, London.

I won't mention someone's Twitter yesterday asking if we thought it Echoed (in reference to the title of her new album) What? I just did? Oops.

Jokes aside, I hope she's okay. You know her PR people will probably spin this on her favour too.

Six year old faces 45 days in a reform centre .... For carrying a knife. To eat his dinner with.

Zachary Christie, 6 from Delaware was suspended after carrying a folding knife, part of his lunch cutlery set to school.

It was in breach of the school's zero tolerance stance on weapons. The punishment? 45 days in a reform centre.

Only after public pressure was the punishment dropped and Zachary was allowed to return to school.

Cheryl Cole doesn't trust anyone (surprise, surprise)

Courtesy of Metro

Cheryl Cole admits she can't trust her husband as she prepares to go solo in the charts.

Baring her fears – and tattoos – the Girls Aloud star says the only people she can rely on are her parents and she needs to protect herself from being hurt again.

'I don't trust anybody', says the 26-year-old, who stood by her hubby, Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole, following allegations he cheated on her with hairdresser Aimee Walton in 2007.

Er, I don't know about you but isn't relationships supposed to be based on trust? Fine she loves him, but are we supposed to have sympathy for her if. She decided to stick with things? I know people run too quick from bad patches and divorce and break ups are rife in todays' society but I can't help but feel a little sceptical that this is coming out now Chezza - the toilet attending battering pop star - Cole has a solo career ... Hmm.

Winehouse album expected in 2010

Courtesy of BBC News.

Winehouse has launched her own record label, Lioness, with Island

Amy puts best friends in the spotlight on new label
Singer Amy Winehouse's new album is expected to be completed next year, according to her record label Island.

"I've heard a couple of song demos that absolutely floored me," Island co-president Darcus Beese said. "Hopefully we'll have her album next year."
He said the singer had been writing and recording "in fits and starts".

Winehouse's last album Back To Black, which has sold 10 million copies and won five Grammy Awards, came out three years ago.

But since its release, the singer has battled drug problems and ill health, and comeback gigs in May had to be scrapped.
She was writing and recording with producer Salaam Remi, who worked on Back To Black, while living on the Caribbean island of St Lucia earlier this year.

Last October, Remi said the pair had "about four songs done". The following month, Lucian Grange, head of Island's parent company Universal Music Group, said her new material was sounding "sensational".

Winehouse is making a return to TV screens on Saturday, singing backing vocals for her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing (pictured above.)

Bromfield is the first signing to Winehouse's new record label Lioness, which is an imprint of Island. The 13-year-old's debut album is released on Monday.

Shyne: I never spoke to Diddy

Courtesy of All Star Hip Hop

Incarcerated rapper Shyne has completely refuted Sean "Diddy" Combs' claims that he and the Bad Boy mogul had a conversation.
Shyne issued a stern statement via his lawyer.

“My client wants to make it very clear that no such conversation between Mr. Combs and he ever occurred,” said Oscar Michelen, Shyne’s attorney in a statement.

Shyne told his counsel, “I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combs’ imagination. He never spoke with me, he never visited me nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident.”

Michelen also countered saying that Shyne, who has been jailed for nine years, never mentioned the alleged conversation in their conversations.

“I was very surprised to hear Mr. Combs’ claims about talking with my client since I speak to Shyne all the time and he never mentioned anything about it, said Michelen. “Knowing how he feels about Mr. Combs I know that it would have been very strange for Shyne to have spoken with him and not told anyone."

In an interview on Hot 97 with DJ Absolut, Diddy said, "It's a blessing that [Shyne is] coming home. I spoke with him a couple weeks ago. He sounded like he was in good spirits. I know he can't wait to get home. And I know he's definitely gonna heat the whole scene up. He's definitely gonna do it, you know what I'm saying, he definitely was one of the most talented young artists that I had the pleasure to work with so I'm quite sure he's been using his time wisely and I'm quite sure he has some heat."

Presently, Shyne, resides in Federal immigration detention until a judge decides if the Belize-bore rapper can still remain in the United States. He is jailed for an infamous 1999 Club New York shooting that had ties to both Diddy and then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez

Shyne has legally changed his name to Moses Levi.

A civil lawsuit surrounding the shooting is pending in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

When poledancing goes wrong

No words needed.

Chris Rock & Nia Long talk about their blind date

Lol! I know you may have seen this already, but this was funny. Chris Rock gave Nia a fake number.

Courtesy of WSHH.

You know you're West Indian when ...

As loads of you know, I'm always on my Twitter as I find it easier and an instant way of communicating to people.

Stuck at home yest, I was in and out of Tweeting and a fellow tweeter of mine (sup Xi'an) were wishing producer Dready a Happy Birthday and let him know we would have fixed him some 'hard food' had he been here in the UK to celebrate.

After passing a few jokes the day went by without incident until. R&B sweetheart Jamelia came on later bored and started the trend:
#YouKnowYoureAYardieWhen which I've got to say has given me the most joke.

I had to blog some of them for those who aren't on Twitter and seeing as I'm from Barbados and Guyana for the West Indians as a lot of this applies to us (minus the small island digs lol)

Shout out to everyone who made me laugh til no sound came out, my cheeks and stomach hurt and I was exhausted, and Jamelia who started the madness. I swear half of these were from Dready too! *side eye*

#YouKnowYoureAYardieWhen:

you got Loads of gold teet.
you refer to your mother as "moomy"
you meet a girl and after 2 days u tell her you love her.
you think you should get served first without joining the queue.
you pull out a machete in a fist fight.
your mum looks like your sister.
you expect to get in every dance for free.
you call corned beef 'bully beef' and you eat it with rice and cabbage.
"psst" is a perfectly acceptable chat up line.
your kids party finish ah 3 ah clock inna di marnin.

(Sorry I am laughing hard as I type, this is still funny 9 hours later lol.)

you say 'tall hair' instead of long hair.
everybody says BRAP at a tune and you reach for your lighter (editors note: even when you don't smoke.)
your brothers and sisters are the same age as you.
playing dominoes is SERIOUS.
after a Saturday night passa passa you go straight to church (had to be Xi'an with that one.)
you know about blue soap.
you have Imperial Leather in ur yard.
you go home and they call you henglish.
you prefer the reggae version to a tune
you eat bun and cheese for Easter, not chocolate (ah Henglish ting, dat.)
you refer to an Asian person as chineyman/ooman.
you can wash, cook, clean and iron aged 10 (11 for me.)
you pose when talking on your phone.
you snigger when you pass the Chinese restaurant called 'Hot Wok' (lmao every time.)
your mum/dad/aunty/uncle suddenly have a stutter when you're getting beats.

Aight, mi dun! Go and search the Twitter trend and catch more joke. Bless. <- that's a next one. Finishing your sentence with "Bless" Also when you spell checked this blog and it took 5 mins to "add to dictionary" Lickle more! x -- Posted from my iPhone

StyleWatch: ToyWatch

If you know me, then you'll know that I've wanted a ToyWatch for a year now. I was going back and forth as I couldn't justify paying the prices they are at the time seeing as I don't really wear watches. But they are beautiful pieces and my argument is they are collectible and also just sexy. Aint gonna lie.

Thankfully, I've been helping out someone with looking after a member of their family as they've moved to London and as a thank you I was taken to the new store in Regent Street to pick out my very own timepiece (yay!)

This is the purple Plasteramic (plastic and ceramic) watch with a plasteramic band and rotating bezel.

Get yourself down to Regent Street and take a look. I have my eye on a black plasteramic, a white Mother of Pearl Chrono and a Skeleton.

*goes off to buy a Lotto ticket for tomorrows' draw*

Link to the US site is to your right under 'Linkage' as the UK site isn't up properly as yet.

Regards to the UK store.

Blowing up the moon

I seriously saw this discussion floating around all week, and honestly thought it was a joke. I mean, sending two missiles to blow holes into the moon, our moon that controls the tides in regards to the water on Earth to find out if it has water? Shut up! Sounds more like a terribly written Hollywood film starring Bruce Willis with rock ballads and slow motion shots of men in space suits walking to the spaceship. Yes, I am referring to another version of Armageddon.

But it was actually true. And when I found out, I was dumbfounded. In fact still am. Imagine if they did damage it. What would happen to our oceans?

Luckily, the mission was unsuccessful, but how long will it be before the fools at NASA try this tomfoolery again? Joke ting.

If you are interested in the reports from NASA, then click here to go to their website.

South Park bring back MJ, Swayze & Fawcett

courtesy of Metro:

Never ones to observe niceties, South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker recently premiered an episode packed with this year's dead celebrities.

Spoofing The Sixth Sense, the episode entitled 'Dead Celebrities' features little Ike encountering the ghostly manifestations of recently departed stars.

Among a number of US celebrities (who most in the UK won't know – Billy Mays anyone?), Swayze, Jacko, David Carradine and Farrah Fawcett all return as their South Park-style animated selves, waiting impatiently in purgatory to get into heaven.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Jacko plays a major part in the story and gets the unforgiving South Park treatment. Aside from the celebrity take-downs and Sixth Sense parody, the episode lampoons the sheer weirdness of children's beauty pageants and also includes a typically grotesque gag about a very specific type of stain remover.

MJ Post Mortem - was in relatively good health when he died

Michael Jackson had a strong heart and was a "fairly healthy" 50-year-old, according to an autopsy report obtained in the US.

According to the Associated Press, his weight was considered normal and within the acceptable paramaters.

The report documented that he had some lung damage, arthritis, punctured arms, tattooed lips and eyebrows.
Jackson's death was ruled as homicide caused by a powerful anaesthetic.

Propofol and the sedative Lorazepam were the "primary drugs responsible for Mr Jackson's death" according to the L. A. Coroners Court.

It looks like Dr Conrad Murray has some more questions to answer ...
